Businesses disadvantaged by being unable to receive broadband at last have a cost effective solution.

Dorset’s exchanges have been broadband enabled for some time, but the issue here for businesses are exchange reach problems, or slow performance issues.

With recent advancements in technology Buzz Networks Ltd are seeing demand grow for their innovative ‘Hubba’ device developed in the South West.

Mobile dongles have been one of the only alternatives for those unable to get BT broadband to date. The greatest strengths of the new Hubba in comparison are that its four internal aerials can identify the fastest connection available not just the nearest, reaching transmitters up to 9 miles away. The unit’s clever algorithm keeps searching for the best connection possible and seamlessly switches over. This can dramatically increase the speed and bandwidth of the connection.

Steve Smith MD of Buzz Networks says “not only does the Hubba have the ability to provide broadband access; it also prioritises bandwidth between data and voice meaning users can run Voice Over IP (VOIP) telephone systems through it.” He said “We are seeing biggest growth in the business sector as prioritisation makes it an attractive ‘Office in a Box’ and instant disaster recovery solution.”

Buzz Networks run their entire office voice and data through the Hubba and have installed it into businesses providing total connectivity for up to 12 staff through one unit.

Steve Smith added “this is an exciting time for both Buzz Networks and Dorset Businesses, the strength and applications of the unit mean that businesses can enjoy connectivity wherever they are.”

As well as uses of the unit for business, farming and rural communities, Buzz Networks have plans to launch the Marine version of the Hubba in the coming months, which will bring exciting applications in commercial fishing and pleasure boating, as well as opportunities in the 2012 Olympics.
